Coaching for Creatives
All creators, artists or innovators, must shape their ideas clearly so others may receive them. The greatest gift for those who bring the unknown into fruition is rooted in their ability to convey intentions with their highest authenticity and potential. If you are desiring to empower your skills, elevate your position, or expand your awareness I am here.

"When I first contacted Cari, I was feeling very stuck in my creative life. I kind of assumed I was done with practicing the visual art that I had once been very committed to. Imagine my surprise when I realized it is an essential part of my life! Cari, in three sessions, helped me to awaken my creative self and define which direction in which to go. I highly recommend working with her. She’s bright, focused, compassionate, and knows what she’s doing."

"Cari shows mindfulness and respect for the creative freedom of the artist. She isÂ
someone to whom you can share the essence of your vision, and her ability to
offer insightful and encouraging solutions for its attainment is an astonishing gift."
Jourdan Elterman, Novelist
"During the past two years of the pandemic my wife and I were running our business on our own without the help of any employees. Needless to say, my art and creative life suffered through this time. There was never enough time to be creative, I was just in survival mode. Cari helped me through this time and I was able to complete a small project for my wife by setting and achieving practical goals. I am currently working on other new projects right now using the techniques and tools that Cari introduced me to. Thanks Cari!"

Stage Freight
My name is called to the stage. I am about to follow the poetry star after a huge applause for her. She is generous enough to have an open mic after her show and I am the first to sign up. The auditorium could be half full, although all I'm seeing is full eyes on me, no empty seats, the weight of the audience spills out of the room.
My tongue freezes to the back of my throat as I lower the mic to the height of my lips. I search the room for anyone familiar, a friend, a family member, someone who has ever listened and asked for more...empty seats remain empty.
"Mom," I tremble into the mic.
She is late, not there, my name has been called and she's not there, the room is giggling. The poetry star, in full laughter, rises from her seat and asks, "Do you want to wait for your mom?"

I grab my poem and go back to an empty seat. I tell her to put my name last to give my mom and sister enough time to arrive.

I was not a child waiting for my mother. This was me as a thirty year old woman measuring myself against Allen Ginsberg, his dynamic poetry performance, against this poetry star in the moment, her well paced delivery.

I feared looking out into the audience only to see participants bored or, worst yet, leave. All the readings I had gone to, purposely sitting in the aisle, just in case I wanted to leave.
Cari Griffo, the performance poet, was born out of my greatest fears and accomplished with tools I taught myself and can share with you.

From Stage Freight to Performer
Many times, a weak performance, reading, or pitch is not solely the delivery alone but could be rooted in the weakness of the work.

I can help writers do the two most important things your success depends on; strengthen your work and strengthen your presentation to the world.
